The state highway SH6 leads to the airport via Frankton Road.
Airport Parking: The airport has three parking options: Public Car Park, Coach Park and Commercial Park. The Public Car Park is free for the first twenty minutes. The car park charges NZD 3.00 for 21-40 minutes, NZD 4.00 for 21-60 minutes, NZD 7.00 for 101-120 minutes, NZD 9.00 for 121-180 minutes and thereafter NZD 1.00 per hour. The car park cost NZD 20.00 per day on the first day, NZD 16.00 per day from the second day and NZD 58.00 per week. Coach Park is complimentary; and spaces for disabled passengers are earmarked in the public car park.
At The Airport: Banking and Money Exchange: Automatic teller machines (ATMs) of ASB and Travelex counters for foreign currency, travel insurance and money transfer are located within the terminal.
Food and Beverage: An array of yummy hot and cold food, juices, coffees, homemade chocolates, teas and smoothies is available at the airport.
Shopping: Passengers can buy best selling paperbacks, books on New Zealand, 100% wool sweaters, sports wear, lambskin jackets, gemstones, paua jewelry etc.
Duty Free: New Zealand World stocks duty free merchandise such as gifts, souvenirs, liquor, cigarettes and perfumes.
Other Services: Washrooms, meeting / board rooms, car rental counters and taxis are a big plus. Wireless Internet is accessible throughout the airport.
Disabled Facilities: ATMs with Braille keys, automatic doors, wheelchair-friendly toilets and elevators make traveling easier for the disabled passengers.
Departure Tax: Departure fee amounts to NZD 25.00 per head.
