Terminal Transfers: Transfers: The airport has five terminals: Main Terminal Building (MTB), Satellite Building (SAT), Contact Pier (CP), Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) and Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal (KL CAT). A complimentary, 3-car, driverless Aerotrain, KLIA Automated People Mover, connects all the terminals. The train runs every five minute between MTB and SAT; two sky bridges link MTB with the parking bays; and buses also ply between MTB and LCCT.

The North-South Central Link Expressway (ELITE) between New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) at Shah Alam and North-South Expressway (NSE) at Nilai North Interchange is major access road leading to the airport. The KLIA Transit and KLIA Ekspres, train services, connect Kuala Lumpur Sentral and KLIA.
Airport Parking: The short term car park (STCP) with over 6,000 parking bays is divided into four blocks: A, B, C, and D. About eighteen bays at Level 2 in Block C and Block B are reserved for disabled passengers. The “Level Counting Indicators” display available parking bays; and blue chip coins are used for the Block B and yellow chip coins for the Block C parking. Parking at MTB costs RM 3.50 for the first hour, RM 11.00 for four hours and RM 43.00 for 24 hours. In the Block A, motorcycle parking lot at the Ground Floor charges a fee of RM 1.00. The parking costs RM 2.00 for the first hour and RM 9.50 for four hours at LCCT. At the Southern Common Amenities Facilities (SCAF), parking rate is just RM 1.00 for the first hour, RM 6.00 for four hours and RM 30.00 for 24 hours. The valet parking rate is RM 15.00 for the first two hours and thereafter RM 5.00 per hour.
At The Airport: The MTB is based on “Airport in the forest, forest in the airport” concept. Banking and Money Exchange: ATMs, bureaus de change are installed throughout the airport.
Food and Beverage: Each lounge features a food and beverage facility and there are fast food, Chinese, Western cuisine outlets are on the Level 5 of MTB
Shopping: The Departure Hall has several shops and a pharmacy
Other Services: The WiFi-enabled airport offers complimentary wireless Internet service at departure and arrival halls, CP and SAT. The Business Center, equipped with meeting facilities, Internet and phones, meets all needs of traveling executives. SAT has Plaza Premium Lounge and other lounges, a reflexology and massage center, televisions and food counters. SAT lounges offer free newspapers, magazines, beverages, snacks, and flight information. TravelFon mobile phone is available for rent on TravelFon airport counters. Free baggage trolleys are stocked in the MTB and baggage reclaim area, hand luggage trolleys at arrival gates, and car park trolleys in the Covered Car Park. Muslim prayer rooms, Surau, are located at all levels of MTB, near CP and in SAT. A 24-hour clinic at MTB Level 3 and SAT is well-equipped to handle medical emergencies. KL CAT provides complimentary check-in and porter services.
Disabled Facilities: The multi-storied airport has specially designed lifts, ramps, adapted telephones and toilets with wheelchair access for disabled passengers.
