Terminal Transfers: A free automated people-mover system is provided to transport passengers between check-in counters and gates.
Directions: The airport is located 34km (21 miles) northwest of Hong Kong Island, situated on reclaimed land between the islands of Chek Lap Kok and Lam Chau. The Airport Express train from Terminal 2 links the airport to central Hong Kong in 24 minutes. Trains run every 12 minutes between 05h50 – 01h15. The last train leaves the Airport Station at 00h48. Call +852 2881 8888 for train information. Passengers have the option of advance check-in at Kowloon and Hong Kong Stations. Free porter services are available and free shuttle buses operate from these stations to most major hotels and transport interchanges. The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation provides accessible transport for people with disabilities. Travel services are provided between the airport and hotels and include sightseeing. Taxis are colour-coded according to the areas they serve. Urban taxis (red) serve the entire Hong Kong except for Lantau Island. New Territories taxis (green) cover all new territories excluding the parts of Tsuen Wan, Sha Tin and Tseung Kwan O covered by red taxis. Lantau taxis (blue) connect Lantau Island with the airport. Transport links to mainland China include ferries, mainland coaches and limousines. Ferries from SkyPier link the airport with 6 ports on the mainland. Mainland coaches depart from the Terminal 2 Mainland Coach Station and connect to Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Huizhou, Foshan and Zhongshan. Skylimo offers a door-to-door luxury service.
Airport Parking: Car Park 1 offers only hourly rates. Car Parks 2 and 4 offer long term parking in addition to hourly rates. Car Parks 1 and 4 offer free parking for up to 30 minutes. Motorcycles should use Car Park 2. For parking information contact: +852 (0)2286 0163.
At The Airport: Banking and Money Exchange: Money Exchange, Banks and ATMs are found in Terminal 2.
Food and Beverage: Dining options in both terminals are plentiful and offer Chinese, Asian, and Western Cuisine. There are Fast food outlets and Western and Hong Kong style coffee shops as well as shops offering desserts and baked goods.
Shopping: Both Terminals have shopping malls offering a variety of shops and restaurants - SkyMart in Terminal 1 and SkyPlaza in Terminal 2. Goods include audio visual equipment, electrical and home appliances, fashion and accessories, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, jewellery, watches, eye wear and duty-free liquor and tobacco outlets. Terminal 2 also offers entertainment facilities.
Duty Free: Duty Free is available for international travelers in the SkyMart and SkyPlaza.
Other Services: Terminal 2 processes check-ins only (no gates or departures). The airport operates 24 hours a day.
