News: Broward County Aviation Department announced airport improvement program to up grade the Terminal 4 and construct a new runway.

Terminal Transfers: The airport comprises four terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4. A courtesy Inter-Terminal shuttle service runs between the terminals, while elevators enable movement within each terminal.
Directions: The airport is located south of Fort Lauderdale. Distances from major towns and cities follow: Port Everglades – 6 Km Fort Lauderdale – 9 Km Hollywood – 11 Km Cooper City – 22 Km Port of Miami – 40 Km I-595, I-75 and I-95 connect the Florida and airport.
Airport Parking: Secure multi-level Garage Complex, consisting of Cypress, Palm and Hibiscus Garages, can accommodate over 12,000 vehicles. A tram runs between the terminals and the complex every eight minutes. The Tram stop is at the lower level of the complex. Self parking in Hourly and Daily lots cost $1.00 for twenty minutes but day rate in the Hourly lot is $36.00 and in the Daily lot is just $15.00. All self-parking lots are free for the first fifteen minutes. Courtesy shuttles connect the terminals and Airport Economy Parking, ideal for long term parking, every fifteen minutes round the clock. The Economy lot, the cheapest option, charges $ 1.50 for up to two hours, half a dollar for every extra hour and $ 7.50 per day. Valet parking costs $ 8.00 for up to two hours, $ 4.00 for every extra hour and $ 21.00 per day. A covered walkway connects the terminals and parking. Vehicles parked over sixty days in the complex or Economy Lot can be removed. Motorists can use free Cell Phone Lot for pick up but unattended and commercial vehicles are not allowed in the lot. All garages and the Economy lot feature spaces for disabled passengers.
At The Airport: Banking and Money Exchange: The onsite business service centers offer travel insurance and currency exchange services. Automated teller machines (ATMs) are installed throughout the airport. Food and Beverage: Several restaurants and snack outlets offer an array of beverages, treats, sandwiches, salads, chips, donuts etc to satiate your appetite. There are full service bars for cocktails and liquor. Shopping: The retail outlets, including gift shops and newsstands market souvenirs, magazines, books, newspapers, toys, games, apparels and sunglasses. Duty Free: Duty free kiosks sell perfumes, wines and many other premium products. Other Services: The airport features free wireless internet, rental car center, cozy, clean restrooms, baggage carts, medical services, telephones, FedEx and US Mail drop boxes, Internet kiosks and shoeshine stands. Disabled Facilities: ADA compliant airport has ADA Parking Access Feature, Braille signage, wheelchair accessible vans, push button emergency call boxes in parking and visual paging monitors for the convenience of disabled passengers.
Departure Tax: There is no departure tax.
