News: If all goes according to schedule, Durban International will shut its doors on the 30th of April 2010, with all flights to Durban thereafter landing at the new airport that is currently under construction in La Mercy, North of Durban.

Terminal Transfers: No terminal transfers are necessary as the departures and arrivals halls are in the same building.
Directions: The airport is found 18km (11 miles) south of Durban down the M4. It is accessible from inland via the N3, and the North and South Coast via the N2. Taxi services and shuttle busses run from the airport to the city, hotels and to surrounding towns.

Airport Parking: Short Term (covered and uncovered), Long Term (covered and uncovered) as well as a multi-story parkade are available at Durban International. Rates vary slightly between the covered and uncovered short term parking, which is all within short walking distance from the terminal. Long term parking is found to the south of the terminal, where most of the car rental facilities are located. The most convenient and expensive parking is in the parkade directly opposite the entrance to the main terminal, where a drop and collect zone is also located. For costs of parking, the ACSA website has a parking calculator where one can work out the cost for ones specific parking needs.
At The Airport: Banking and Money Exchange: ATM’s are found throughout the airport.
Food and Beverage: There are a range of restaurants and coffee shops, as well as smokers rooms and bars.
Shopping: A chemist, post office, book store, souvenir shop, retailer and confectioner are available.
Other Services: The Information desk is situated in the middle of the terminal, in front of Departures. Internet facilities can be found at the Tourism Office in the main terminal, and an ACSA VIP Lounge is on offer for conferencing. The airport police station is found just before the drop-off zone. Car Rentals are found out of the terminal and to the left among the long term parking bays.
