News: The O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP) will focus on runway modernization and construction of a new terminal and an automated people mover system to connect the main and new terminals, increasing traffic handling capacity of the airport.

Terminal Transfers: The airport, equipped with elevators and escalators, has four terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 and seven concourses B, C, G, E, F, H and K. The Airport Transit System, a 24-hour courtesy intra-airport light-train service running every few minutes, connects all the terminals and the parking lot E. The terminals 1, 2 and 3 are within walking distance of each other.
Directions: The airport is located northwest of downtown Chicago Distances from major towns and cities follow: Chicago – 28 Km Lisle – 34 Km St. Charles – 54 Km Springfield – 323 Km I-294 and I-190 lead to the airport.
Airport Parking: The airport parking facility is divided into International Parking Lot (D), Main Parking Lots (A, B and C), free Cell Phone Lot for pick up and drop off, and Economy Lots (E, F and G). The International Lot D charges $6.00 for up to two hours, $10.00 for up to four hours and $50.00 for 13-24 hour period. Main Parking lots and Valet parking are free for the first ten minutes. The Main Parking lots cost $2.00 for up to one hour, $4.00 for up to two hours, $14.00 for up to six hours and $30.00 for 11-24 hours. Valet Parking is very expensive and charges $10.00 for the first hour on the first day, $6.00 on the subsequent day and $45.00 per day. Four hours valet parking costs $25.00 on the first day and $12.00 on the subsequent day. The Economy Lots E, F and G charge $2.00 for up to first hour, $5.00 for up to three hours, but the E costs $16.00 for a 9-24 hour period, the F costs $9.00 for a 5-24 hour period and the G charges $13.00 for a 9-24 hour period. Spaces are earmarked for disabled passengers in all lots.
At The Airport: Banking and Money Exchange: Foreign exchange counters of Seaway National Bank and ATMs are located in all the terminals. Food and Beverage: Snack bars, cafes, lounges, taverns and restaurants are located throughout the airport. Shopping: Passengers can browse through news shops, gift shops and national and local retail stores. Duty Free: The duty free shops sell cosmetics, fragrances and liquor. Other Services: The airport features Wi Fi, AC outlets, well-appointed workstations, luggage carts, mailboxes, family restrooms, a medical center, interfaith chapel and USO center. Disabled Facilities: Accessible Kiosk, equipped with a public access videophone (PAV) and multilingual touch screen monitor, is a big plus. Other ADA compliant conveniences include wheelchairs, extra-wide automatic entry doors, elevators and accessible drinking fountains, restaurants and restrooms.
Departure Tax: There is no departure tax.
