News: An integrated terminal, featuring state-of-the-art technology; and a 6-lane elevated road is being developed. Car parking capacity will be increased from 3,600 to 12,000. Future developments also includes new taxiways, an ATC Tower and operational area expansion.

Terminal Transfers: The airport has four terminals: two domestic and two international. The domestic terminal in Santa Cruz (East) has two parts: Terminal 1A and Terminal 1B. The international terminal, at Sahar, east of Andheri, is further divided into Terminal 2B and Terminal 2C. A free coach service of MIAL transports passengers with a valid air ticket between the terminals that are about four kilometers apart. A free inter-terminal coach travels every half hour day and night. Passengers can easily move around and walk between different terminal sections within the international and domestic terminals.
Directions: The airport is located north of Mumbai in Santa Cruz and Sahar.

Northbound roads from Colaba, the most-frequented tourist spot in the city, are well-signposted till the airport. The Western Express Highway, a north-south arterial road, serves the airport.
Airport Parking: Both long-stay and short-stay parking spaces are available at all terminals. Total parking slots aggregate 3,600. The parking slots near the terminals cost up to INR 120/- for four hours. The rates for slots away from the terminals vary from INR 30.00 for four hours to INR 80.00 for four hours.
At The Airport: Banking and Money Exchange: ATM's are available in both terminals
Food and Beverage: Terminal 1B features a café, an ice cream parlor, a restaurant, beverage and snack outlets and lounges. Terminal 1A also has a café and lounge. Beverage and snack outlets and lounges can also be found on the departure level of Terminal 2C. Shopping: The Mezzanine floor of Terminal 2C has a duty free shop and restaurant. Other Services: The departure section has a business center with shoe polishing machine, Internet connectivity, computers and fax machine. Well-equipped medical inspection rooms for emergency and first aid are at the airport. The arrival Hall of Terminal 2 has a long-distance bus counter that sells tickets for near by towns. Pre-paid taxi booths are also located in the terminal. Disabled Facilities: There are free wheelchairs throughout the airport and can be asked for at check in or at the information desk. Modified toilets and elevators are designed for the convenience of disabled passengers and near Gate 2 of Terminal 2A, a lounge is designed mainly for wheelchair users. The airport is well-signposted in Marathi (local language), Hindi (national language) and English.
Departure Tax: A departure tax of INR 700/- is levied but it is generally covered in the ticket cost.
