Terminal Transfers: At Brisbane International the Domestic and International terminals are situated 2km (1.2 miles) apart. There are two transport options to travel between them. The first and most common way is to use the Airtrain service, which runs every 15 minutes in peak hours, and every 30 minutes in off-peak hours. This costs AUD $4.00
The second option is to take a taxi, which costs in the region of AUD $9.00. At the Domestic Terminal the taxi rank is found at the entrance to the terminal. At the International Terminal the taxi rank is found at Arrivals Level 2.
Directions: The airport is located about 15 to 20 minutes drive from Brisbane’s Central Business District, but one should expect longer travel times when driving during heavy traffic periods. Driving times to other major towns and cities are as follows:
Central Business District: 13km (8 miles) from the Surfers Paradise: 80km or 1hrs 15mins drive Noosa: 127km or a 2hrs drive
Alternatively, one can also use the Airtrain Rail Link that goes to and from the Central Business District to the airport at 15-minute intervals, and is a 20-minute ride. A direct Airtrain route from the airport to the Gold Coast is also available, and is an hour and 30 minutes long trip. Coachtrans is a convenient bus service that connects to Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
The airport website has handy pdf maps that one can print out to use on travels to and from the airport to make sure that the best possible route is being taken.
Airport Parking: Short term parking is found opposite the Domestic Terminal, under a minutes walk from the main entrance. Pricing ranges from AUD $2.00 for 20 minutes, to AUD $45.00 for 6 hours or more. One can either pay at the exit with cash, Eftpos and major credit cards, or at the Automatic Pay Station at the exit of the Terminal with cash and major credit cards.
Long term parking is found opposite the Domestic Terminal, and is a short walk from the main entrance. There are lifts to all levels of the car park, and 24-hour surveillance cameras are in place as a security measure. Pricing ranges from AUD $25.00 for one day, to AUD $85.00 for four days, and thereafter only AUD $10.00 extra per day.

Banking and Money Exchange: In the Domestic terminal there are Automatic Teller Machines are found on Level 1 and 2, with currency exchange services on Level 2. The International Terminal has ATMs and currency exchange services found on Level 2, 3 and 4.
Food and Beverage: At both the International and Domestic Terminals there are a wide range of cafes, restaurants and bars.
Shopping: In the International Terminal all shops are found on Level 4, which is before customs and Level 3, which is after customs. In the Domestic Terminal, all shopping facilities and restaurants are on Level 2 and include books, fashion, souvenirs, watches and jewelry.
Duty Free: Only in the International Terminal.
Other Services: The Domestic terminal has a Visitors Information Desk on Level 1 and provides a range of services for booking accommodation, transfers, tours and the theme park tickets. The International Terminal Visitors Information desk is found at Arrivals Level 2. The International Terminal also has conference facilities, duty-free shopping and a prayer room.
Disabled Facilities: For disabled travelers in both Terminals, special assistance and wheelchairs can be requested from airlines, and all planes are entered and exited using ramp walkways and aerobridges.
