Terminal Transfers: A free shuttle bus offers an express route between the terminal building and the Public Transportation Centre. The alternative ‘ordinary’ route has various stops along the way.
Directions: The airport is located in the Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan province approximately 25 km (15.5 miles) from downtown Bangkok.

There are 5 main automobile routes to the airport: From the north or south – BangNa-Trat Highway From the northwest – RomKlao elevated highway and WatKingKaew Road From the northeast – LadKraBung (Onnuj Road) From the west – WatKingKaew Road
Various options exist for travel by bus: The public bus service runs for 24 hours from the Transportation Centre. There are 11 bus routes running to various parts of Bangkok. Tickets cost 35 Baht. An inter-city bus service also operates from the Transportation Centre and includes bus routes to Pattaya, Talad Rong Kluea and NongKhai provinces. The Airport Express bus service provides luxury transport from the airport to the major hotels. The Airport Express runs 4 routes and operates 05h00 - midnight. Tickets cost 150 Baht.
Taxis can be caught from level 2 of the arrivals hall or from the Transportation Centre. An airport surcharge and expressway fees are payable on top of metered fares.
Car and limousine rental is also available.
An airport express rail link is under construction between the airport and City Airport Terminal in Makkasan. Completion is planned for end 2009.
Airport Parking: There are two multi-level car parks and two external parking lots (25 Baht for the first hour). Long-term parking is available for cars and buses.
At The Airport: Banking and Money Exchange: Banks, ATMs and foreign exchange desks are available in the main terminal building.
Food and Beverage: Dining options are varied and include a range of western cafes and coffee shops, juice and snack bars, taverns, sweet shops and fast food outlets as well as Asian cafes and restaurants.
Shopping: Shopping outlets sell cosmetics, flowers, books, fashion, luggage, jewelery, children’s toys, electronic goods, traditional/local products and luxury items.
Duty Free: Duty free shopping is also provided.
Other Services: The Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel is in close proximity to the passenger terminal. Other facilities in the main terminal include day-rooms, business centres, phones, convenience stores, an ID-photo booth and a medical centre (08h00 – 17h00). Smaller clinics operate 24 hours in concourses A and G. Hair dressing and spa services are available as well as some entertainment options such as karaoke and games. Disabled Facilities: The carpark, lifts, toilets and telephones are accessible for disabled persons.
