News: The escalator renovation is underway and will be complete in November 2009. The airport also announced plans to reconstruct its taxiway and runway.

Terminal Transfers: The airport has 3-level terminal and two concourses, A and B. The terminal has four escalators and stairwell to move between different levels.

Directions: The airport is located south of the Albuquerque central business district.

Interstate 25 North (Exit 221) and South (Exit 222A) lead to the airport.

Airport Parking: The 4-level parking facility can house 3,700 vehicles and Long Term Surface Lot can accommodate 500 automobiles. Spaces for disabled passengers are earmarked at all levels near elevators. For disabled passengers, parking is free for the first twenty four hours and thereafter it costs $6.00 per day (2-4 days) and $8.00 per day after four days. Short Term parking costs $1.00 for up to half-an-hour, $2.00 for 30-45 minutes, $5.00 for 3-6 hours and $7.00 for 6-24 hours. After three days, it costs $10.00 per day. Long Term Parking charges $1.00 for thirty minutes, $6.00 per day and $8.00 per day after three days. Since only active loading and unloading of baggage and passengers is allowed at the curb, all unattended vehicles are towed away. Free cell phone waiting area is ideal for motorists waiting for arriving passengers.

At The Airport: Banking and Money Exchange: A number of automated teller machines (ATMs) of different banks are installed throughout the terminal.

Food and Beverage: The airport has casual eateries and full-service restaurants and bars. Passengers can choose from New Mexican and Southwestern fare, homemade soups, gourmet coffees, sandwiches, bagels, pastries, made-to-order sandwiches, hot dogs, ice creams, beers and cocktails.

Shopping: Retail kiosks and stores sell specialty candies, apparels, accessories, souvenirs, jewelry, T shirts, books, magazines and newspapers. Specialty stores offer world-class local products such as collectibles and handicrafts.

Other Services: During layover you can either relax in meditation room, watch airplanes from Aircraft Observation Areas, surf the Web using complimentary Wi Fi or browse through the art collection.

Disabled Facilities: The airport has elevators in parking facility and at the terminal, wheelchair accessible drinking fountains and restrooms, telecommunication devices (TDD), wheelchairs and Braille signage for the convenience of disabled passengers. The airport also offers skycap assistance.
