Terminal Transfers: While the airport has two terminals that are located conveniently within walking distance, a separate terminal is located within the city where passengers can check in 12 hours before departure and be shuttled to the main airport near the time of their departure.

The main highway from the airport leads to three roads that lead to Abu Dhabi City Center, namely, No. 30 Khaleej Al Arabi, No. 8 Salam Road and No.2 Maktoum Road.
Airport Parking: There are open-air parking bays available in both Terminal 1 and 2. The maximum time allowed for parking is 3 months and fees are calculated hourly and after 24 hours, on a daily basis. Terminal 2 car parking is substantially cheaper than Terminal 1 parking, with charges being almost half price. Terminal 2 rates are as followed and should be doubled for Terminal 1 parking, Dhs 5 per hour, Dhs 120 per day for the first 24 hours and Dhs 75 per day after that.
At The Airport: The City Terminal is free for First and Business Class passengers who can check in prior to arriving at the airport, but Economy passengers have to pay fees ranging from 25 to 75 Dhs. Banking and Money Exchange: There are 5 Bureau de changes are located through the airport and ATMs are also located throughout the terminals.
Food and Beverage: Snack bars are available on all floors and throughout the airport. Shopping: There is shopping throughout the terminal with a wide range of items available for sale.
Duty Free: Tax free shopping is available for all international travellers and there are a large number of luxury goods available. Other Services: At the airport there a hotel is located in the airport which includes conference rooms and a gym. Internet access is provided in various airport lounges. A 24-hour pharmacy and clinic are located within Terminal 1 and nursing rooms are contained within ladies washrooms. The City Terminal is free for First and Business Class passengers but Economy passengers have to pay fees ranging from 25 to 75 Dhs.
